Diana Ross’ ex gave her documentary mixed reviews
Diana Ross’ ex thinks the new documentary about her is a snooze — but don’t tell that to his famous family.
A spy at a screening of “Diana Ross: Her Life, Love and Legacy” at the Paley Center on Thursday says that Bob Ellis Silberstein — who was married to Ross in the ’70s and shares children Tracee Ellis Ross, Rhonda Ross Kendrick and Chudney Ross with her — texted a friend during the flick, “So boring. Need to find a way to leave.”
But an eagle-eyed spy says Ellis then emailed Ross herself giving a rather more glowing review.
“Hey D,” he wrote, “just watched the movie with [Ross’ son] Evan, Chudney and Rhonda. You look amazing and sound the same. How amazing you are! Love always, Your X,” or “something very, very similar,” according to the spy.
We’re told he then texted Tracee to tell her that he was watching the film.
When she replied, “Oh amazing is it good?” he said, “Six stars. You were great and Mom is so beautiful wow.”
The movie features “neverbefore-seen footage and messages from the Ross family . . . giving a loving and passionate introduction to the film in celebration of the superstar’s legacy.”
