Designer calls out fashion writer over comments about her marriage
Joss Sackler — wife of OxyContin heir David Sackler — just wants her “f - - king neon hoodies” reviewed.
Sackler has lashed out at New York Times fashion scribe Matthew Schneier over an article about her new fashion line, which she claims unfairly delves into her marriage.
Sackler accuses him of relegating “my identity to only being someone’s wife, thereby erasing any signs of my successes,” in the article about her line, LBV Care.
She concluded with the legendary line, “Stop talking about who the men in my life are, and review the f - - king neon hoodies.”
The Sackler family has been the focus of several protests and a lawsuit filed by the Massachusetts attorney general over the controversial drug produced by their Purdue Pharma company.
The complaint claims eight members of the family (including Joss’ husband David) “made the choices that caused much of the opioid epidemic.”
Purdue has stated it “vigorously denies the allegations.”
A New York Times spokesperson tells us, “Our story is a thorough and accurate look at Ms. Sackler’s new fashion line, business initiatives as well as her family’s ownership of Purdue Pharma, which is relevant and newsworthy.”
