A perv punched and fondled a 20-year-old woman after rummaging through her pockets and tossing aside her cellphone in a Greenwich Village apartment stairwell early Sunday, police said.

Cops say the creep asked the woman “What’s your name?” as they passed each other on the stairs in the building near Grove Street and Bleecker Street at about 4:30 a.m. He then grabbed by her jacket and found her phone and threw it away before she started screaming for help.

He then cocked back and a hit her in the face before pinning her against the wall and groping her groin over her clothes, police said.

The unidentified man — described by police as 5-foot-11 to 6-foot in height wearing a dark hooded coat — then took off, but police believe he was caught on video of the man walking outside the building.

The woman was taken to the hospital for bruises and has since been released.
