How far can Nets go if Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving aren’t all healthy?
Kevin Durant had been back in the Brooklyn Nets lineup for less than two weeks when he suffered his latest injury.
Durant left the Nets' game Sunday against the Miami Heat early in the first quarter after suffering what the team called a left thigh contusion. He scored Brooklyn's first eight points in about four minutes before limping to the locker room with 7:57 to go in the opening frame. Without Durant the rest of the way, the Heat prevailed 109-107 on Bam Adebayo's game-winning shot at the buzzer.
Nets coach Steve Nash said Durant will be re-evaluated Monday, but he was hopeful Durant would be able to remain with the team on its current road trip.
"He's sore, but we don't know how severe," Nash said. "We'll see (Monday) how he wakes up and go from there."

2021 NFL mock draft: What might happen in first round if Cowboys, Broncos trade up?
The late, great Tom Petty summed it up pretty well 40 years ago this month when we first heard him sing, "The waiting is the hardest part." Kind of encapsulates where we are in the NFL's pre-draft season with the main event still 10 days away.
But before that happens, Trey Lance will throw again for scouts, some medical evaluations will continue to await resolution – all as the 32 teams finalize their boards – and the annual, late-stage smokescreens will begin to billow.
One recent rumor that's gained traction stems from an ESPN report claiming that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is "infatuated" with uber-talented Florida tight end Kyle Pitts. Is that true? Is it counterintelligence? Is it legit even if Jones doesn't plan a bold move up from No. 10? Hard to know.

Manchester City, Real Madrid lead these very early power rankings of the European Super League’s 12 founding clubs
On Sunday, AC Milan, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur were announced as the 12 founding clubs in a new European Super League.
A start date for this proposed Super League hasn't been announced yet, but we're not going to wait to figure out how these teams stack up.
Given the teams' current form in domestic and European competitions, here's a look at how the squads rate:
1. Manchester City
Under the careful direction of Pep Guardiola, Man City is cruising toward its third Premier League title in four years. Man City also eliminated Borussia Dortmund in UEFA Champions League play to reach the semifinals. If Man City can pull it off, a Premier League-Champions League double would be quite the impressive accomplishment and a first for Guardiola's team.
