The rookie running back caught a short pass to the right from Teddy Bridgewater, broke a tackle near the sideline and turned it up field for a 42-yard gain against the Chargers.

The play set up a touchdown pass to Eric Saubert to make it 21-7.

Rupee sees high volatility as worries resurfaced around new COVID strain

Investor concern resurfaced about lockdowns amid a rise in COVID cases in Europe and a new variant, detected in South Africa

The rupee started on a choppy note on Monday as investors turned cautious tracking heavy selling in domestic equities and worries over a new variant of COVID-19.

At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened higher by 5 paise at 74.84 against the greenback and later touched a high of 74.82.

However, the local unit pared gains in late morning deals amid high volatility. The rupee was trading down by 9 paise at 74.98 at 1035hrs.

On Friday, the rupee had plunged by 37 paise or 0.50% against the U.S. dollar to close at a nearly month’s low of 74.89, as investors resorted to risk-off sentiment.

Investor concern resurfaced about lockdowns amid a rise in COVID cases in Europe and a new variant, detected in South Africa.

The dollar index, which gauges the greenback’s strength against a basket of six currencies, rose by 0.19% to 96.27.

Meanwhile, global oil benchmark Brent crude futures advanced 4.06% to $75.67 per barrel.

Foreign institutional investors were net sellers in the capital market on Friday as they offloaded shares worth ₹5,785.83 crore, as per exchange data.

On the domestic equity market front, the 30-share Sensex was trading 98.48 points or 0.17% lower at 57,008.67, while the broader NSE Nifty declined 44.85 points or 0.26% to 16,981.60.

A.G. BARR plc (BAG.L) said the Group now expects its full year revenue and profit before tax to be ahead of current market expectations. The Group projects revenue to be in the order of 264 million pounds and profit before tax to be around 41 million pounds. The Group said the positive trading momentum reported at interim results in September has continued and sales have grown ahead of its expectations, across both Barr Soft Drinks and Funkin business units.

A.G. BARR also estimates revenue momentum to continue into 2022. The Group will provide a further trading update in early February 2022.

Hammerson Confirms Talks On Possible Disposal Of Silverburn – Quick Facts

Responding to recent press speculation, British Real estate investment trust Hammerson PLC (HMSO.L) Monday confirmed that it is in discussions on terms of a possible disposal of Silverburn, its flagship destination near Glasgow.

Hammerson added that the pricing under discussion is 140 million pounds, which would represent a class 2 transaction. Meanwhile, there can be no certainty that a transaction will take place, it said.

Silverburn is held in a 50/50 JV with CPPIB.

The company noted that disposals of non-core assets remains a near-term priority to continue to strengthen the balance sheet, re-balance the portfolio and to enable the company to re-cycle capital for investment.

The company will provide a further update in due course, if appropriate.

CareTech: Smartbox To Buy Germany’s REHAVISTA And Unit LogBUK For €10 Mln In Cash

CareTech Holdings PLC (CTH.L), a provider of specialist social care and education services for adults and children, announced Monday that its Group company, Smartbox Holdings Ltd, is acquiring REHAVISTA GmBH and its subsidiary company LogBUK.

In the deal, Smartbox will pay a purchase price of 10 million euros to be satisfied in cash on completion, which is expected on November 30. It is expected that the acquisition will be immediately earnings enhancing for CareTech.

The deal would be funded by the Group’s debt facility with CareTech subscribing for additional shares in Smartbox such that post-completion, CareTech will own 83% of Smartbox. The remaining minority ownership will continue to be held by the Smartbox management team.

REHAVISTA is a German provider of augmentative and alternative communication or AAC products and services, employing over 170 staff.

LogBUK is a subsidiary company to REHAVISTA, providing independent speech and language therapy to help AAC users achieve the best outcomes through specialist clinical support.

REHAVISTA and LogBUK, headquartered in Bremen, generated revenue in excess of 16 million euros in 2020.

Farouq Sheikh, Executive Chairman of CareTech said, “This acquisition is a natural but exciting next step for our Digital Technology division due to the close partnership that has been formed between Smartbox and REHAVISTA, since it began supporting Smartbox technology earlier this year.”
