‘AGT: The Champions’ Winner Shin Lim Almost Said No To Being On The Show
America’s Got Talent: The Champions just crowned Shin Lim as the world champion last night!
The 27-year-old card magician took home the World Champion title, beating out nine other amazing acts, including singer Angelica Hale, Darci Lynne Farmer, comic Preacher Lawson and sand artist Kseniya Simonova.
After the show, Shin spoke to People about how he actually declined the first time the show asked him to be part of the all-star season.
“I’m glad I didn’t and decided to go for it,” Shin shared. “I initially turned Champions down because I wanted to do new stuff, I didn’t want to do repeat acts. But I decided to do it and see what happens.”
He adds, “I thought, ‘When am I going to have a chance to do this? All the winners compete against each other, this is such a rare opportunity.’ To be part of it is an honor.”
