A look back at HR McMaster's time in the White House

Reports say that McMaster disapproved of Trump’s undisciplined style of governance while Trump disliked several of McMaster’s decisions, including acknowledging Russia interference in the 2016 US elections.

    US National Security Adviser HR McMaster has resigned from US President Donald Trump’s administration.

    McMaster replaced Michael Flynn who was fired 14 months ago.

    The retired general was the second national security advisor for the US president.

    Trump and McMaster both say the decision was mutual.
