A 3-year-old girl died in Texas after her mother briefly left her unattended in the bathtub to fold laundry, according to reports.

The little girl, identified as Eve Blankenfeld, drowned Friday at her Decatur home when her mom left her alone for “just a few minutes,” news station DFW-TV reported.

When the mom returned, she found her daughter face down in the tub, officials said.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR on the girl, who was brought to Wise Regional Medical Center.

Eve was later transferred to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, where she died Tuesday evening in the intensive care unit, according to news station WFAA.

No charges are being filed against the parents as authorities have determined the incident was a “tragic accident.”

A GoFundMe page was created to raise money for a memorial service.
