21 Savage Prepared To Fight To Remain In The U.S.

21 Savage has declared he will fight for his right to remain in the United States.

The Grammy-nominated rapper was arrested in Atlanta by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier this month for allegedly overstaying his visa and being convicted of a felony.

21 Savage, whose official name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was released on bond after 9 days in custody.

“If you tell me, ‘I’ll give you 20 million to go stay somewhere you ain’t never stayed,’ I’d rather be broke,” 21 Savage said in an interview with the New York Times. “I’ll sit in jail to fight to live where I’ve been living my whole life.”

“My situation is important ’cause I represent poor black Americans and I represent poor immigrant Americans,” he added.
