Flight moves: Turkish airline's deal for pilot training in Cork
Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA), the Cork-based international flight school, has signed a new pilot-training partnership with Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines.
The deal means 20 of the airline’s commercial pilots will be trained at the Cork school.
AFTA already works with other carriers such as Ryanair, Air Astana and Stobart Air.
Pegasus is Turkey’s leading low-cost airline, servicing 110 destinations in 42 countries.

AFTA managing director Mark Casey said that the decision by Pegasus to have AFTA train its pilots is a testament to its successful record of helping global airlines train their flight crews.
AFTA has trained more than 2,000 commercial airline pilots since 1995.
