Easy way to tell if you’ve got a £10,000 white Creme Egg without unwrapping it
Just like cheating at Monopoly to bag a few extra quid, there’s an equally as sneaky way to bag yourself a white chocolate creme egg.
With Cadbury’s offering lucky finders of the white version of their iconic eggs a huge £10,000 in same cases, there’s a cheap and easy way to find out what colour yours is, without ever needing to unwrap it.
While both white and milk chocolate version come in the same foil wrapping – there is one big difference between the packaging. And knowing what it is could potentially lead you to financial fortune…
Legally, Cadbury needs to list the ingredients used in its products. And on top of regular Creme Eggs the words ‘milk chocolate’ appear before the likes of ‘milk solids, vegetable fats and cocoa butter’.
Surely, then, white Creme Eggs say, ‘white chocolate’, above a slightly different ingredients list?
We asked Cadbury, who told us: "All white Cadbury Creme Eggs, while wrapped in the same iconic packaging as the classic Creme Egg, will contain nutritional information that is specific to the white chocolate variant. It is a legal requirement for all food manufacturers to display all ingredients on the packaging."
So, there you go. If you feel disinclined to part with 58p for the unlikely chance of winning some cash, rather than fondling a fondant food product, just read the outside of it.
By the way, here’s where they supposedly all are:
There’s one £10,000 cash prize available from each retailer, with Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer and One Stop each selling one white creme egg worth £10,000.
On top of that, there’s one £10k prize available from independent retailers.
As well as the £10,000 cash prize, there’s also 110 other winning eggs at each store, with prizes including£1,000, £100 and £50.
