Construction firm Entekra opens Irish HQ as construction begins on $30m Californian hub

Construction firm Entekra has officially opened its new European headquarters in Ireland, which is creating 100 new jobs in the local area.

The new skilled jobs at the Monaghan facility were announced in May of this year after the company raised $55m in investment funds.

Funding was mainly raised from New York-listed Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, a manufacturer of engineered wood building materials.

Led by Gerry McCaughey, Entekra is also based in California and has a specific focus on the US housing market.

The design, engineering and home manufacturing company provides off-site framing for both residential and commercial construction.

Mr McCaughey said that the hub, which includes a dedicated training facility, allows the firm to upskill their growing Irish workforce.

He also announced that construction has begun on a new $30m purpose built manufacturing facility in Modesto, California.

“This facility will allow us to produce 3000 homes per year within two years,” he said.
