What teens wish their parents knew about their mental health struggles

SINGAPORE – Four teenagers share what they wished their parents knew about their mental health struggles, while Dr Deva Priya Appan, associate consultant at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) department of developmental psychiatry, gives them some guidance and encouragement.

I started having symptoms of anxiety when I was 16. They included unexplained nervousness, tremors, loss of appetite and nausea.
