U.S. Fed 'moving in the right direction,' White House adviser says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Reserve is headed in the right direction, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said in a television interview on Thursday even as he criticized the U.S. central bank’s staff for being part of the “deep state” government.

“They’re moving in the right direction,” Kudlow told CNBC, adding that a 25 basis point cut would be appropriate.

“The deep state board staff, of course, has not been helpful,” he said, using a conspiracy term used by some to refer to a shadowy government.
