KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian government’s hard stance against illegal migrants could worsen the Covid-19 outbreak in the country, as many may go into hiding, raising the risks of new clusters.

The authorities in recent weeks have conducted a series of raids which saw hundreds of undocumented migrants being rounded up.
