Maid, 34, charged over allegedly attacking employer with knife
SINGAPORE – A 34-year old maid was arrested on Friday (Jan 17) for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.
She was charged on Saturday after allegedly attacking her employer at their home in Commonwealth Close.
The police said they were alerted to the incident on Friday at around 11.10am by the victim.
The maid was arrested on the same day at Changi Airport Terminal 1, with the help of ground enquiries and CCTV footage.
Offenders charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon may be jailed for life or for up to 15 years and may be fined or caned. Women cannot be caned.
