Five bodies spotted in air search for missing climbers
Five bodies have been spotted by air force pilots searching for eight missing climbers in the Himalayas.
The bodies were found yesterday before a rescue operation in the Indian state of Uttarakhand was suspended because of heavy snowfall and high winds. Attempts to find the three mountaineers unaccounted for will resume today.
The group, including four Britons, two Americans, an Australian and an Indian, began climbing the 6,477-metre Nanda Devi on May 13.
Contact was lost after an avalanche on May 26.
