BANGKOK – It is a public holiday in Thailand, but 69-year-old Prateep Ungsongtham Hata is braving the rain in one of the capital’s biggest slums, scribbling notes as she speaks to a woman seated in front of a wooden shack – a good distance between them.
The woman, 27-year-old Chuanpit Sopa, is five months pregnant.
