What is thought to be the world’s largest underwater cave has been discovered off the eastern coast of Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula – and it is around 350km-long.

    A team of archaeological divers found human bones and pottery from thousands of years ago. Scientists are hoping the discovery could help piece together a clearer understanding of the ancient Maya civilisation.
