They say the arrest of the Huawei CFO in Canada has nothing to do with the US-China trade war.

Top government officials from Canada and the United States have met in Washington at a time when both the countries are locked in disputes with China.

Top on the list of their concerns was the China’s purported reciprocation of the arrest of Huawei senior executive Meng Wanzhou in Canada on December 1.
