Uber driver kicks gay couple out of car because she ‘doesn’t believe in that’

An Uber driver has been sacked after kicking a two woman out of her car for being gay.

Kristin Michele said when she leant over to kiss Jenn Mangan as they rode in the Uber to a concert in Jersey US, the irate driver ordered the pair out of the car because she was a Christian woman who “didn’t believe in that”.

In shocking video footage recorded by Michelle, she can be heard repeatedly asking the driver "you're kicking us out for being gay?", before the driver admits "yes I am", and shouts "get out".

Michelle responds by saying: “You’ve gotta be f—ing kidding me. It is 2019 [and] you’re kicking me out because I’m gay”.

The couple eventually got out of the car and caught a train to the concert they were heading to instead, they said.

They claim the driver had threatened to call police and told them: “I reject any ride that I want to."

But Uber didn't agree and kicked her off the ride-share app.

In a statement, Grant Klinzman, a spokesman for the firm told the New York Post: “Uber does not tolerate discrimination in any form and we have been in contact with this rider.
