Trump could be '1st White House squatter after vowing to stay when Biden comes'

Donald Trump could become the White House’s first squatter amid claims he will refuse to leave the famed address when Joe Biden arrives next month.

The outgoing President of the United States is said to be more in denial about his election loss than ever. He has reportedly told aides he will refuse to move out on the January 20 inauguration and transfer of power.

One mole told CNN: ‘He’s throwing a fucking temper tantrum. He’s going to leave. He’s just lashing out.’ The president is also said to have frozen out trusted acquaintances who have told him to accept his defeat, and has stopped returning their calls.

Trump has retreated from public view since Biden was called as winner on November 7, aside from a few brief public appearances to discuss Covid vaccines and other policy issues.

But aides say he is highly-engaged about requests from presidential pardons from criminal pals – and has received so many that a special spreadsheet has been created.

The president is said to be reviewing case summaries related to those requests, and conducting straw polls among staff to try and help him decide whether to let people off the hook.

Electoral college voters, acting on behalf of individual US states, formally named Joe Biden the winner of this year’s contest on Tuesday.

Key Trump allies including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have offered Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris their congratulations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin – one of President Trump’s few cheerleaders among the international community – also finally congratulated Biden in the wake of the electoral college vote.

Aides close to Trump are also said to be trying to shift the president’s focus towards a 2024 White House campaign to try and cheer him up.

Trump is rumored to be considering launching his next White House bid as Biden as inaugurated.

The president is also said to be fearful of potential criminal charges he may face, with prosecutors in New York busy combing through his finances.

He denies any wrongdoing.
