Saturday 26 September

Donald Trump held a reception for evangelical faith leaders inside the Oval Office on Saturday evening.

He returned to the White House at 10pm.

Monday 28 September

On Monday afternoon, Mr Trump didn’t leave the White House, appearing in the Rose Garden in the afternoon to hold a briefing on the US coronavirus testing strategy.

That event was attended by administration officials, including Vice President Mike Pence, members of Congress and other state officials.

He also surveyed a truck produced by Lordstown Motors on the south lawn with two members of Congress and three representatives from the manufacturer.

Tuesday 29 September

Mr Trump and his wife travelled on Air Force One with Ms Hicks and the rest of his campaign party to the first presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday.

The debate was held with a small audience, but just Mr Trump, Joe Biden and moderator – Fox News anchor Chris Wallace – were on stage. They were both tested beforehand and kept 2m apart at all times – but did not wear masks.

The Trumps’ children and senior staff were also part of the party who travelled to the debate and did not wear face coverings during the 90-minute event – violating host rules.

Everyone was back at the White House by 12.30am on Wednesday.

Wednesday 30 September

On Wednesday, the president and his wife travelled with his campaign party on Marine One and Air Force One to a fundraiser at a private house in Minnesota, before a rally in the city of Duluth.

His aide Ms Hicks is believed to have felt ill on the way home to the White House, so was quarantined on Air Force One on the journey back.

Everyone was back at the White House by 1am on Thursday.

Thursday 1 October

With Ms Hicks self-isolating, the president and the first lady travelled to Bedminster, New Jersey, for a round table event and a fundraiser.

Several members of the Trump campaign party who were in close proximity to Ms Hicks decided not to travel with him to New Jersey.

The Trumps arrived back at the White House by 6.30pm, when Mr Trump tweeted to say he would be interviewed on Fox News at 9pm.

He then gave a live broadcast address to the annual Alfred E. Smith memorial foundation dinner in New York, when he claimed “the end of the pandemic is in sight”.
