Up to seven people have reportedly been injured following a shooting near a church in the United States.

One victim is believed to have died from their injuries.

The incident took place in downtown Baltimore near the Perkins Square Baptist Church located on 2542 Edmondson Avenue. 

The suspect is described as a white man and 5'8" wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, according to reports.

It is understood he fled in a white vehicle and police are attempting to track him down.

Investigators have not yet released a motive.
