Police hunting mum after twin human foetuses found dumped in industrial estate

Police have launched a desperate search for a mum after twin human foetuses were discovered dumped at an industrial estate.

The grim find was made by a plant worker in San Diego yesterday.

Police are investigating the "suspicious deaths" and have made an urgent appeal to find the mother whose welfare they are very concerned about.

A police spokesman said: "The investigation is in the very early stages at this time, and the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the fetuses are unknown."

San Diego’s Medical Examiner is investigating the age of the fetuses as well as any “information regarding the condition of the fetuses during the birthing process.”

The San Diego Police Department said: “Incidents like these are thankfully rare, but none the less tragic for everyone involved.

"The San Diego Police Department would like to remind everyone of the Safe Surrender Law, which allows for the anonymous surrender of a newborn to any emergency room or fire station to avoid babies from being hurt or killed due to abandonment.”
