No injuries reported after ambulance, vehicles collide in Rockford
No injuries were reported after an ambulance and two vehicles collided in Rockford, police say.
According to Grey County OPP, on Monday at around 10:30 a.m., a Grey County ambulance was travelling northbound on Highway 6 and 10 with its emergency equipment activated when it came to a rolling stop at Grey Road 18.
Officers say the ambulance proceeded through the intersection against a red light and collided with a delivery truck that was travelling westbound on Grey Road 18 through the green light.
Police say the impact of the collision caused the delivery truck to collide with a pickup truck stopped in the southbound lane of Highway 6 and 10.
Officers say the delivery truck driver’s view had been obstructed by a tractor-trailer that was stopped in the turning lane on Grey Road 18.
According to police, no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Police say the driver of the ambulance, a 45-year-old man from Owen Sound, was issued a provincial offence notice for failing to yield to traffic on a through highway under the Highway Traffic Act.
