Mother jailed for sexually assaulting her daughter's friends during sleepovers

A mother has been sentenced to 64 to 102 years in prison for sexually assaulting her 11-year-old daughter’s friends during weekend sleepovers.

Christina Greer, 38, gave her daughter and her friends alcohol and marijuana-infused gummy bears before having sex with at least one of the friends, aged 13, and sexually assaulting another, aged 12. The sexual abuse took place during at Greer’s home near Omaha, Nebraska, between 2017 and 2018, a court heard on Monday.

According to prosecutors, the 13-year-old boy told police he had sex with Greer on three occasions during sleepovers at Greer’s home, reports the Omaha World Herald.

Greer’s daughter also testified that she heard her mother and one boy in her bedroom and they were kissing. Another unidentified teen told prosecutors that the daughter said the boy was having sex with her mom at the time, according to Phil Kleine, a deputy prosecutor with the Sarpy County Attorney’s Office.

Before her arrest in 2018, Greer is said to have told her victims to delete evidence from their phones and to not tell anyone about their sexual encounters.

But during their investigation cops found sexually explicit photos of Greer on one of the boys’ phone, court documents show.

Greer had also told her daughter not to tell anyone about what happened at their home because she would get in trouble and lose her kids, the court heard.

Kleine added that with the help of Greer’s daughter, detectives identified up to six teens or preteens who regularly spent the weekend at Greer’s house.

‘This case took 3½ years from (Greer’s) arrest to sentencing’ said Kleine.

‘The victims had to go through a lot, to put it lightly. I hope that, with the court’s sentence, the victims will be able to find some form of closure and be able to move forward with their lives.’

Greer was sentenced on Monday at the Sarpy County District Court after being found guilty, in March, of three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor involving two boys ages 12 and 13. She also was found guilty of six counts of felony child abuse and two counts of witness tampering. The jury did however find her not guilty of one count of first-degree sexual assault of a child and one count of child enticement.

Under Nebraska sentencing guidelines, Greer must serve 32 years in prison before being eligible for parole.

If parole is not authorized, Greer must be released after 51 years.
