Moment 17-stone thug punches girl, 11, in face as shocked children look on
A 17-stone white man has been arrested after he was caught on camera punching an 11-year-old black girl in the face.
David Bell, 51, was detained by an off-duty police officer as a distressing clip, filmed at a shopping centre, emerged online.
The brute appears to be outside the Asheville Mall, in North Carolina, with his wife and child.
In the footage Mr Bell, who towers over the children at 6ft 5", shouts "break it up" as he spins and and tries to address the dozen or so youngsters.
One of them pushes him in the back, while others shout at him.
The person filming can also be heard asking: "Who is he?"
All of sudden things take a nasty turn.
A girl wearing a black jacket and pink trousers walks up to Mr Bell and says something with her hands down by her sides.
He can be seen taking a strong stance, placing two hands on her chest and shoving her backwards.
She stumbles onto another girl and regains her composure, before walking up to the man for a second time.
He then punches her in the face and she immediately drops to the floor and hits her head.
Screaming starts and many of the girls run back into the shopping centre shouting "oh my god" as the video cuts.
An off-duty policeman arrested Bell as the girl declined medical treatment.
Jail records suggest Bell weighs 250lbs and is 6ft 5" tall, according to Mail Online.
Bell, who reportedly teaches piano lessons from his home, was charged with assault on a female under the age of 12 and two counts of assault on a female, according to the Citizen Times in America.
