Missing teen found dead four days after boyfriend's body was discovered on road
A missing 18 year-old was found dead four days after her 17 year-old boyfriend’s corpse was discovered by the side of a road. Kaylah Blackmoor was found inside her Ford Explorer in Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday morning.
She went out early on Sunday evening, and told her family she would be right back to bathe her baby sister, but never returned. The next morning, Kaylah’s boyfriend Michael Beasley, 17, was found dead in the grass next to an abandoned church. His corpse was spotted by a passer-by, who dialed 911.
Police have yet to say how either of the teenagers died. Kaylah’s mother Angelia Stephen said Thursday she had not been told how her daughter had died. Paying tribute to Kaylah, Angelia said: ‘She was the best daughter, sibling, (granddaughter) and friend anyone could have asked for.
‘I will forever have a hole in my heart but will tell lots of stories to keep her memory alive so her baby sister will know who she was.’ An aunt, who did not wish to be named, said they did not want to comment on Michael’s death.
That aunt told the Kansas City Star that Kaylah had recently earned her high school diploma, been working as a paraprofessional, and was hoping to train as a beautician.
The dead teenager adored her newborn sister, and enjoyed buying treats for her. Police are continuing to investigate the deaths of Kaylah and her boyfriend.
