Man arrested for 'sending death threats to FBI' after Donald Trump raid

A man has been arrested after posting numerous death threats to FBI employees after agents raided former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Adam Bies, of Mercer, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with influencing, impeding, or retaliating against federal law enforcement officers by a US District Court.

According to the affidavit dated Monday, the FBI’s domestic terrorism monitor received a tip that a user with the handle @BlankFocus was posting threats on right-wing social media site Gab.

Gab provided the FBI with the account’s user registration data, which listed the owner as one Adam Kenneth Campbell. Gab also provided the FBI with the user’s chat logs, which confirmed that the name was an alias.

‘I use a fake name for my photography and Gab so that corporate Murica’ can’t google me out of a job,’ Bies wrote in one post referenced in the affidavit.

The FBI was able to identify Bies after tracing IP logs from Gab back to his home in Mercer.

‘Every single piece of s— who works for the FBI in any capacity, from the director down to the janitor who cleans their f—— toilets deserves to die. You’ve declared war on us and now it’s open season on YOU,’ Bies wrote in the earliest post, which was dated August 10.

That same day, Bies wrote to the FBI that he was ready to ‘water the trees of liberty your blood’ and that he was waiting for the agency to ‘kick down my door’.

Bies continued making threats on August 11, the affidavit details. In one post, he shared a comment from Gab CEO Andrew Torba.

‘Here’s Fox news throwing Gab under the bus because people… had opinions here,’ Torba wrote on the site he founded in 2016. ‘The examples they provided where nowhere near “threats.”‘

Bies addressed Torba directly, saying, ‘Why don’t you send them my threats so that they’d at least have something credible to show on Fox News,’ he wrote in response to Torba’s comment.

‘Just scrub my timeline for the posts you didn’t delete after you threatened to ban me. I sincerely believe that if you work for the FBI, then you deserve to DIE.’

In another August 11 post, Bies wrote that he was ‘prepared for the inevitable outcome’.

‘I already know I’m going to die at the hands of these piece of shit child molesting law enforcement scumbags. My only goal is to kill more of them before I drop. I will not spend one second of my life in their custody,’ he wrote.

The FBI has seen increased threats since August 8 raid on Mar-a-Lago. Last Thursday, a man was killed in an armed standoff with police after a trying to enter the FBI’s Cincinnati field office.

In a leaked memo, the FBI also said they are facing increased threats of ‘civil war’ and even a threat to plant a ‘so-called dirty bomb in front of FBI Headquarters’.
