Dad’s cryptic Facebook message before he ‘shot dead his baby and wife’

A dad posted a cryptic Facebook message about "bad decisions" just hours before allegedly shooting dead his baby, his wife and her grandparents.

Randy Horn, 54, had recently found out his younger spouse was planning to leave him before the mass shooting at a home in Texas, US, according to reports.

He is said to have killed himself after gunning down his relatives.

Horn allegedly shot dead his wife Ashley, 27, daughter Ranly, 15 months, and Lynda and Carlos Delaney, 72 and 74, on Monday morning.

Their bodies were found at the Delaneys’ ranch in Blanchard just before 10.30am following the suspected murder-suicide.

Hours before the shooting, Randy had reportedly been socialising at a nearby sports bar but had been “withdrawn”.

Barmaid Jodie Harris noticed the father wasn’t drinking very much as usually he "did shots all day”, Mail Online reported.

Horn also posted a chilling message on Facebook saying “it was time to pay up for all the bad decisions in life”.

Ms Harris, who works at Players bar where Horn was a regular, said he and his wife Ashley were “crazy about each other”.

She added: “He’s usually really engaging with everyone, he’s president of the darts league.

“He just wasn’t that way yesterday [Saturday], he wasn’t talkative.

“There was nothing that he did though that would’ve led anyone to believe he was capable of this.”

Ms Harris admitted that there had been a “handful” of times over the past few years when Randy had become aggressively drunk but “had never been abusive to Ashley” as he had her “on a pedestal”.

However a close friend of Lynda and Carlos Delaney said that she had heard rumours that Ashley planned to leave Horn – the reason she was at the Delaney’s ranch.

Terri Robinson said that she had met Horn once but “had a bad vibe about him”.

Ms Harris also revealed after the shooting that she had heard Ashley had been planning to split from Horn.

The only person to survive the horror shooting was Ashley’s mother who woke up at 5.30am to the sound of “popping noises”.

She called her son, who then alerted police.

The bodies of Horn and Carlos were found inside the house, Polk County Chief Deputy Byron Lyons said during a press conference.

He described the crime as "horrible", according to Click 2 Houston.

“This is a horrible, horrific scene," Chief Deputy Lyons said.

He added: "What I would ask is that the community will pray.

"This is something that we’re not used to."

Ashley, Lynda, and Ranley’s bodies were discovered outside of the property, while multiple firearms were found at the scene.
