A couple with 14 sons has finally welcomed a daughter into the family.

Kateri Schwandt gave birth on Thursday to Maggie Jayne in Lakeview, Michigan, nearly three decades after their first child was born.

Kateri’s husband Jay Schwandt said to the Detroit Free Press that he and his wife ‘are overjoyed and beyond excited to add Maggie Jayne to our family.’

‘This year has been memorable in so many ways, for so many reasons, but Maggie is the greatest gift we could ever imagine,” Jay said.

The Schwandt family has been featured in national news and holds a live stream program called ’14 Outdoorsmen,’ which may need to undergo a name change.

Their oldest son, 28-year-old Tyler Schwandt, said that his family wasn’t prepared for having a daughter.

‘I don’t even know if my mom owns any pink clothing — or anything,’ Tyler said.

The Schwandts parents both have masters degrees, with Kateri holding one for social work and Jay works as a lawyer.

Maggie Jayne was born at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and will now learn how to live with 14 older brothers.
