A bizarre photograph of a bride and her bridesmaids posing with "bouquets" made of beer bottles has sent social media into a frenzy.

The bride, who has remained anonymous, has been shamed after a guest shared the wedding snap on Reddit .

One said the bottles, some still with labels on, had no "class".

The women in the snap all hold a beer bottle each containing a single white flower to resemble "bouquets".

"That could've been cute if they either put more flowers inside the beer bottle, or made something ornate with the bottle caps to look like flowers," wrote one Reddit user today.

"Class. Dignity. Self respect. The slightest hint of pride? No?," another comment read.

The image has also been shared widely across social media, including Facebook .

But brutal web users blasted the wedding for a "lack of sophistication".

"I completely understand the need for a budget wedding. Or even a "quickie" wedding but you can still do fast and budget with some class.

"The addition of footwear could make a world of difference. Hell, simple white flip flops with a colour matched flower to the skirts would have been cute. I actually feel really bad for bridesmaid on the end," wrote one person.

Another added: "There are flowers in the beer bottles. It looks like they shared a single bouquet.

"They could have at least taken the labels off the beer bottles. This just looks like they decided at the last second that they needed something to put the flowers in and grabbed whatever was handy."

It is understood the wedding happened in the US recently.

The bridesmaids are seen in colourful outfits in the picture, but these have been condemned by other web users.

"The beer bottles I could forgive, the skirts absolutely not. Hideous colour and shape. What was she thinking?," wrote one woman.
