DR Congo protests: Church leaders vow to fight on
Despite the deaths of eight protesters, the Catholic Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo plans to continue to push for political change and for President Joseph Kabila to step down.
Leaders of the Catholic Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo have vowed to continue fighting for justice following violent protests dispersed by police.
For months, demonstrators have been demanding that President Joseph Kabila step down, whose term has expired a year ago.
The Church has organized many of those rallies.
