Prince Harry ‘trying to be leader like Obama with explosive book,’ expert says

Prince Harry is attempting to brand himself as a leader as the Sussexes continue to engage with the US market, a royal expert has claimed.

An upcoming autobiography from Prince Harry will reportedly attempt to cement the royal as a leader in the United States in a similar fashion to former US President Barack Obama.

The 44th US President released his bestselling biography in 2020, with Prince Harry hoping to follow suit, with a royal expert saying the Duke of Sussex hopes to brand himself in similar fashion to the former president.

They added that Prince Harry wants to tell his story as a "phoenix rising from the ashes."

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield said: "What I think he’s trying to do is brand himself as a Mark Zuckerberg, Barack Obama — some guy that can get $100,000 (£82,600) for a speech in Miami to a bunch of rich dudes.

"I think he is trying to brand himself as a leader in the United States and will use his book to try to do that.

"He wanted to try to rewrite his story and to be this phoenix rising from the ashes. That is the route I think he is going to go."

Prince Harry originally announced plans for his autobiography last year, with the royal family reportedly nervous about what the book will contain.

The book will be published by Penguin Random House in late 2022, with Prince Harry calling it a collection of "lessons learned" over his years as a public figure, Daily Express reported.

A statement from the Duke of Sussex was given, saying: "I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

"I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

"I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first hand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful."
