The dismembered head of model Abby Choi has been found, and her ex-husband and his father have been charged with her murder.

Yesterday (February 25), we reported how police in Hong Kong had found some of the socialite's body parts in a fridge.

Police also found human tissue placed in pots of soup but Choi’s head, torso, and hands had not been found – until the former was found today.

Police arrested the parents of her ex-husband Alex Kwong on Friday following a city-wide manhunt.

Kwong was found trying to flee on a boat, but was eventually arrested.

His older brother has also been arrested.

Blood splatters were found in Choi's car, and the ex and his dad have now officially been charged with her murder, although the torso and hands of the victim are still missing.

A source connected to the investigation told local news outlets that Abby’s murder may have been related to a dispute over a huge HK$100 million (£10.7 million) sum of money – which was later confirmed in part by police.

The source added that police are investigating whether Abby, 28, was killed in the house in the glitzy Tai Po district, or whether she died elsewhere.

The model was initially reported missing on Tuesday (February 21) after she failed to pick up the child she had with her husband

Detectives believe that Abby’s ex-brother-in-law met her at her home before she disappeared.

Police Superintendent Alan Chung said: “We believe the victim and her ex-husband's family had many financial disputes involving huge sums.

“Someone was dissatisfied with how the victim handled her assets, which became a motive to kill.

“A meat slicer, an electric saw and some clothing in suspected connection with the case were seized at the scene.”

Kwong's mother was also arrested, but she was only charged with perverting the course of justice.

The four of them are due to stand trial at Kowloon City Court tomorrow (February 27).

Superintendant Chung added, after it was reported that a fifth person was also arrested: "We believe all suspects involved in the murder case have been arrested."
