John Boehner reveals wild front cover of new tell-all book

Smoking jacket not included.

Former House Speaker John Boehner is the latest Washington, DC, luminary with a tell-all book deal — and the cover art alone is worth the purchase price.

Looking more like Dos Equis’ next “Most Interesting Man in the World” than a one-time Republican Ohio congressman, Boehner raises a glass of red wine and wears a camera-melting gaze as smoke wafts from a cigarette in a nearby ashtray.

The tome — due out April 13 — is appropriately titled, “On the House: A Washington Memoir,” after previously being dubbed “Notes From a Smoke-Filled Room.”

Boehner, 70, served as President Barack Obama’s GOP foil in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, when he resigned amid a party insurgency.

In 2016, Boehner joined the board of tobacco company Reynolds American, and has since ventured into the recreational marijuana industry, lobbying to legalize it — in a reversal of his position while on Capitol Hill.

While Boehner was known during his time in office for crying at the drop of a hat, his book’s left some on Twitter crying tears of laughter.

“The first line of John Boehner’s book is ‘Oh hello, I didn’t see you there,’” cracked one user.

Added another, “Looks like he’s about to intro The Maltese Falcon on Boehner Classic Movies.”

“When you open the book, the sax solo from ‘Careless Whisper’ starts playing,” wrote a third.

Others were less than enthused by the cover — or simply confused by what Boehner was going for.

“Boehner’s book cover looks like one of those romance novels you find in a rack near the checkout at the grocery store,” said one critic.

Said another, “I don’t know if Boehner is about to release a memoir, cut a deal with me, begin singing a bunch of lounge covers or ask me who we are going to whack.”
