Coronavirus UK LIVE: cases rise to 87 as killer flu leaves thousands stranded after Flybe collapse – The Sun

CORONAVIRUS cases in the UK have now reached 87.

The deadly bug swept the US overnight – with a cruise ship being held off California as the state declared an emergency.

As the number of those infected with Covid-19 leapt to more than 150 in the States – one virus-ravaged Washington county warned ALL of its 2.2 million residents to stay at home.

  • 'EXPECT DEATHS' TOP NHS CHIEF SAYS

    Chief Medical Officer for England, Professor Chris Whitty has warned the UK will experience a number of deaths as the outbreak takes hold.

    He said: “It's much more likely than not that we're going to deal with a significant epidemic.

    “It is almost certain there will be more cases, probably a lot of cases, and we would expect some deaths.

    Bizarre coronavirus adult videos have exploded in popularity on Pornhub.

    The movies include such titles as “TSA Agent Detains Woman Suspected of Coronavirus” and “Deserted Wuhan.”

    The Chinese city of Wuhan is the epicenter of the outbreak, and most of the deaths have taken place in China.

    “I think people are attracted to the COVID-19 themed porn the same way people who are scared of their shadow are attached to horror movies,” Spicy, half of the Spicy x Rice porn duo, told Vice.

    “We are all searching for things that make us come alive.

    “COVID-19 is something that brings fear and mystery to pretty much everyone in the world right now.”

    Health Minister Edward Argar has said efforts to tackle coronavirus in the UK are still at the “containment phase”

    Mr Argar said ministers were awaiting the advice of Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty before moving to the next phase as set out in the Government's “battle plan”.

    He added: “We stand ready as and when and, if he does, to do what is necessary.”

    Travel fears over the deadly bug dealt the carrier's fragile finances a killer blow leaving passengers stuck at airports home and abroad and 2,000 workers jobless.

    Flybe narrowly avoided going under in January but has continued to lose money.

    The company had tried to broker a £100m rescue loan with the government, but a deal could not be done in time.

    A drop in demand for flights caused by the coronavirus fears “made a difficult situation worse” for the budget airline.
