Brothel keeps punters safe with masks and bleach but warns sex swing is banned

A brothel in Hull has bucked the trend and taken steps to reopen during the pandemic while vowing to remain "Covid-secure".

Since lockdown measures started to ease, some brothels and massage parlours have begun to reopen.

But with a rise in cases and fears a second wave of coronavirus, it appears an even tougher prospect to do that safely.

But Discretion of Hull, hidden on an industrial estate off Hessle Road, has taken steps to welcome customers back.

Claiming to be the longest established massage parlour in Hull, the venue is also leading the way in trying to be "Covid-safe".

On its website, it says a risk assessment was carried out on August 26 with another due on November 26.

In terms of social distancing, it says: "We limit the amount of customers and staff allowed in any one place at all times."

But that is not all with face mask rules also in place.

The venue says: "We provide shields and masks for staff and masks for customers.

"We also provide hand sanitiser and signs to encourage usage along with regular disinfection of all public use areas."

Discretion has also closed the showers and whirlpools and no food or drink is being served onsite.

Normally, the parlour says, it offers a range of services including a state of the art dungeon, hot tub and adult sex swing.

The parlour never explicitly states the full range of services it has to offer but it is there to provide "stress relief" for customers.

In a rather suggestive claim, the website says: "Had a hard day? Discretion stress relief is as good as it gets. Come, let one of our lovely ladies relieve you of those hard muscles and put a smile on your face."

Hopefully, it can be done in a suitably socially distanced way.

It is not clear if other brothels and massage parlours in the city have reopened but none of the websites outline any measures to ensure they are Covid-safe.

Many are situated on some of Hull’s busiest streets and can often be found in flats above shops with entry discreetly found at the back of the premises.

Despite keeping a low profile in the streets, many of the massage parlours are very open online with websites detailing the girls available and the different themed rooms.

But these venues, essentially brothels, often provide a safe place for women to ply their trade rather than take their chances on the streets.
