BREAKING: EasyJet flight to Liverpool declaring mid-air EMERGENCY

The flight departed Faro at 10:02am this morning and was due to land in Liverpool at 1:05pm this afternoon.

The Airbus A320 declared the emergency at 2,700ft as it made the descent towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The plane made a squawk 7700 call – the aviation term for general emergency.

The Airbus A320 jet, flight number U21902, turned right just after it passed Wrexham in north Wales, then took a left turn before its final descent.

Live data on FlightRadar24 showed the plane landing in the UK at 12:46pm.
