Labour HQ in crisis with staff ‘weeping’ as party reels from horrendous result

Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party is on course to secure a stonking majority of 368 seats , according to the exit poll.

Labour has been dealt a heavy blow by voters and is on track to win just 191 seats, which would be the party’s worst performance in a general election since 1935.

It would put Labour down 71 seats on 2017, when the party did better than expected and denied then Prime Minister Theresa May a majority Tory government.

As news filtered into Labour HQ there were reports of staff in tears as the country rejected the party at the ballot box.

According to The Sunday Times reporter Gabriel Pogrund the atmosphere at Labour HQ is miserable with activists now reeling from the devastating exit poll.

Taking to Twitter, he said: “A full 10 minutes after exit poll, staffer at Labour HQ says it remains deadly silent on the 8th floor elections hub.
