JLo's impressive path to the 2020 Super Bowl

New York (CNN Business)Super Bowl LIV averaged 102 million viewers across several channels and streaming outlets, according to Fox.

That number was up from last year’s big game, which averaged roughly 100 million viewers across CBS and streaming outlets.
This year’s game, in which the Kansas City Chiefs came back to beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20, averaged 99.9 million viewers on just Fox alone. Others tuned in to Fox Deportes, its Spanish-language sports channel, or they streamed it on Fox, NFL and Verizon. That makes it the 10th most-watched Super Bowl in history.

The Super Bowl is the most-watched program on television every year. It also draws big crowds at viewing parties, bars and restaurants. Nielsen doesn’t count those watching outside of the home, so the actual audience size is likely bigger than what the numbers portray.
In this year’s matchup, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led an exciting charge during the final minutes of the game to win the team’s first Super Bowl in 50 years.

Super Bowl LIV serves as the perfect cap the the NFL’s year, which included ratings increases for its regular season and several rounds of the playoffs.
The NFL’s TV viewership for the 2019 season was up roughly 5% overall from the previous year. It was the most-watched NFL season in three years.

President Trump appears to flout his own rules with his behavior during the national anthem at the Super Bowl

He didn’t take a knee, but in the eyes his detractors, he might as well have.

Yes, President Donald Trump, oft-critical of those who don’t “stand proudly” for the “Star Spangled Banner,” didn’t appear to be standing too proudly at his own Super Bowl party on Sunday night.

In a video posted by the Miami Herald, Trump is waving his hands like a conductor, adjusting his chair, looking around, greeting guests — all while those around him, including his wife, Melania, stand with their hands over their hearts.

      Here’s the footage:

The Herald pulled the video from an Instagram story posted by a real estate agent for a Russian-American firm that frequents Mar-a-Lago.The White House and the Trump Organization did not respond to requests for comments from the paper, which sent along copies of the video.

But the president has made his stance clear before, telling Fox & Friends in 2018 that “You have to stand, proudly, for the national anthem or you shouldn’t be playing. You shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country.”

And, of course, his supporters have long espoused the same belief. In fact, Fox Nation’s Tomi Lahren called out a famous couple opting to sit during the very same national anthem over the weekend:

The video also provided more fodder for his critics:

Citi Trader Suspended After Stealing From Company Cafeteria

Citigroup Inc. suspended its head of high-yield credit trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa after he stole from the company’s cafeteria, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Paras Shah, one of the bank’s highest-profile traders, left Citigroup last month over the issue, the person said, asking not to be named because the matter is private.

Danielle Romero-Apsilos, a spokeswoman for the bank, declined to comment on the nature of the departure. Shah didn’t respond to a request for comment sent through LinkedIn.

Citigroup hired Shah in 2017 and within months he was promoted to lead the high-yield credit trading business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His suspension was earlier reported by The Financial Times.
