Grant Harrold, who previously worked as a butler to King Charles when he was the Prince of Wales, has recounted his memories of working for the family through the years. Mr Harrold sung the praises of the newly appointed Prince and Princess of Wales, telling OnlineCasino.ca: “There’s nothing really negative about them, everybody literally loves them.

“It’s a bit like the Queen, everybody loved the Queen. Well, to an extent, I think everyone loves William and Kate so that’s good.

“That’s what I think has got a future, a secure future.”

Mr Harrold said the couple have been clearly inspired by the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who helmed the Royal Family together for nearly 70 years.

He said: “I think they don’t put a foot wrong, they never put a foot wrong, just like the Queen.

“I see almost a very mirrored effect between William and Kate and the Queen and Prince Philip but 80 years apart.

“Two very similar couples, very similar love, very similar dedication to duty but two very different types of Royals, one very traditional and one very modern, and that’s part of this transition.”

Mr Harrold commended the “perfect training” the couple received from the Prince Willam’s late grandmother, remarking that the pair of them being encouraged to live normal lives before becoming full-time working royals has helped.

Mr Harrold said: “The thing with William, Kate and Harry when they were younger, they were very much encouraged to have a normal life.

“It’s not that long since he gave up his ambulance work and became a full time Royal. It hasn’t been long.

“They haven’t been doing it that long, they’ve had a relatively normal life for a long time but they’ve also been on the sidelines watching the Queen, they’ve been working up to this and had the perfect training.

“Going back to what the Queen said, she said it was all in the training and that is exactly what William and Kate have had the opportunity to do.

“I’m sure it was the Queen’s plan to make sure they were trained to be the best future King and Queen this country will be able to have going forward.”

The former royal butler turned etiquette expert served Charles from 2004 to 2011, which gave him plenty of insight into the younger days of Prince William and his estranged younger brother Prince Harry.

Mr Harrold said the brothers were “100 percent” close and “best pals”, and expressed surprise at the recent turmoil between the two.

He said: “It was only when the statements came out I remember sitting there thinking ‘what the hell is going on?’ because these were two guys that were close they were best pals so I find it sad that two guys who were literally best friends suddenly went through this fallout.

“With families, I don’t know how you come back from something like that happening, it’s possible but with fallouts it can be really difficult to patch it.”

However, despite the rift that had embroiled the family in recent years, Mr Harrold said he believed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still “very much part of the family”.

He said: “I thought it was good that King Charles gave that statement after his mother’s death when he offered the olive branch to Meghan and Harry by talking about them.

“So in his eyes, they are very much part of his family, I believe that.

“They may not be working members of the Royal Family but I have no doubt he sees them as part of the family, that’s a fact.”
