What time will the new Prime Minister be announced?

Boris Johnson or Jeremy Hunt will be announced as the new UK prime minister later today.

The two candidates have been involved in several hustings around the country, as well as a live TV debate in an attempt to be named as Theresa May’s successor at 10 Downing Street.

13 conservative MPs had initially entered the race but they either stepped down or were eliminated after a series of ballots were held among Tory MPs.

After Johnson and Hunt remained as the two remaining candidates, the final decision has been made by Tory members who have been able to cast their vote up until yesterday evening.

Here is everything that you need to know about when the new prime minister is expected to be announced.
