US to extend Europe travel ban to include UK as British infection cases soar above 1,000
The US travel ban, which already applies to 26 countries of the Schengen area and Reuters news agency report Donald Trump is poised to extend the travel restrictions on Britain and Ireland.
They state the ban is likely to go into effect on Monday night.
It comes after the US President announced a state of emergency on Friday to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
