Teenager, 17, stabbed to death in Chingford named by police

The 17-year-old boy killed in a fatal stabbing in Chingford, east London, on Monday has been named by police as Chima Osuji. 

Police were made aware of a stabbing on Longshaw Road at 9:21pm, arriving at the scene with paramedics three minutes later.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, Chima died at the scene.

His loved ones have been informed.

A 14-year-old boy and two other teenage boys have been arrested.

The Metropolitan Police said today that, ahead of formal identification, detectives have identified the victim as Chima.

Chief Superintendent Simon Crick said: ‘This is a tragic incident and I am devastated that a young life has been lost as a result of knife crime.
