SNP MP stunned as host reveals how Boris could stop independence ‘Boris says that is it!’

The question of Scottish independence from the United Kingdom has remained a prevalent point for the SNP Party. Nicola Sturgeon has continuously argued that there needs to be another Scottish referendum on Independence due to a perceived change in feeling in Scotland. Sky News Adam Boulton rubbished the idea the SNP could do anything to counter Boris Johnson deciding there would be no independence referendum.

SNP MP Drew Hendry argued the party would continue to work with the Scottish people to force a change on a decision made by the Prime Minister.

Mr Boulton said: “The fact is though Drew Hendry is if Boris Johnson says that is it, that is it.

“There is nothing you can do about it.

“I know you don’t like it but we have got a UK Parliament and a majority.”

Mr Hendry said: “No, because it is completely unsustainable if he says ‘no’.

“You cannot have a union of supposed equals where one country, as it has been over Brexit, treated uniquely badly as Scotland has been.

“There is a raft of unionist politicians many of them Tory politicians saying you cannot have a union where a member is trapped against its will.

“If that is the line they are going to use over Brexit you cannot then, therefore, transfer that and say that Scotland must not have a chance over its future.”

The Sky News host then asked what can be done about this by the SNP party.

Mr Hendry replied: “Well, we will continue to work with the Scottish people.

“What we found because of all of this intransigence, ignoring Scotland, ignoring the voting that we have had in Scotland, returning success of Tory government against the voting pattern of the Scottish public is that more and more people are seeing the ned for Scottish independence.”

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon made a formal request for a second Independence vote last month.

She asked for the UK government to transfer powers, known as a Section 30 order, to the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh that would ensure any referendum is legal.

Boris Johnson formally rejected the call from Scotland’s First Minister today saying a referendum would “continue the political instagnation Scotland has seen for the past decade”.
