Shocking coronavirus poll shows other countries ‘doing so much better’ than UK in key area
Sky News’ Sophy Ridge and Sam Coates discussed the shocking figures shown in the poll which took place last week. Mr Coates stated the fact other countries appear to be doing more than the UK during the coronavirus pandemic will strike a chord with the British public.
Ms Ridge said: “The question here is have you personally been tested for coronavirus in the last 7 days?
“In Australia, 8 percent of people said they have.
“In China, 7 percent and then it starts dropping.
“5 percent in the US, 2 percent in Germany and France and 1 percent in the UK.
“Is this a concern?”
Mr Coates replied: “I think it will be for many people.
“This data is from just over a week, before and around the time Matt Hancock set his 100,000 target.
“Nevertheless the fact that other countries appear to be doing so much better than the UK will strike a chord.”
