Sainsbury’s is selling Christmas biscuits six months early

Sainsbury’s is trying to shift Christmas products in June.

Tim Stone was shocked when he came across a box of seasonal Family Circle biscuits while shopping in Bristol.

He tweeted out the image of the package because he could not work out if Sainsbury’s was being really keen or if it just had a few boxes left over from last year.

It turned out Sainsbury’s was just trying to sell its remaining stock but Mr Stone and others were still surprised to see the £2 items on display.

Mr Stone said: ‘I saw them in the Emerson Green store in Bristol last Wednesday (19th June).

‘They were just being put out as a special bargain £2 ! I was amazed to see them being put out last Wednesday.

‘They were in date until June 2020. Cannot work out if it was old stock from last Christmas or ready for this year.”?

A Sainsbury’ spokesperson added: ‘These bargain biscuits are leftover packs from last Christmas and available in some stores while stocks last.’
