Royal author Phil Dampier said there was a “very real danger” the 94-year-old monarch will never see her great-grandson again or meet her future great-granddaughter. Mr Dampier also predicted that the Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting a daughter in the summer, will not return to the UK.

And the royal expert branded it “grossly unfair” that Meghan’s estranged father Thomas Markle has never met his two-year-old grandson.

Mr Dampier told The Sun: “I think there is a very real danger the Queen will never see Archie again or never see her new great-granddaughter which is tragic.

“I can’t see how when they [Meghan and Harry] go on about compassion and family problems but don’t let their grandfather or great-grandmother see Archie.

“Harry has never met Thomas Markle and he’s never seen his grandson – I think it is grossly unfair.”

Mr Dampier added that it was “quite possible” the Queen may not see former actress Meghan again.

He said: “I don’t think she’ll ever come back to the UK.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are living in California after quitting royal duties last year.

Prince Harry returned to Britain last month for the first time since Megxit for Prince Philip’s funeral.

Pregnant Meghan did not attend after being advised against making the journey by her doctors.

Harry’s trip to the UK came in the wake of his and Meghan’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.

The Sussexes made a set of damaging claims about the royals in the tell-all interview, which aired in March.

Harry also hit out at the Royal Family during an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast earlier this month.

The Duke compared life as a member of the Royal Family to “a mixture between The Truman Show and being in a zoo”.

He also revealed as a young man he did not want to be a working royal.

And he appeared to suggest that his father Prince Charles and the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh had failed as parents.

Harry said he wanted to “break the cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering” for the sake of his own children.

Of the Prince of Wales, he added: “He’s treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?”

The Duke has spoken out again in his Apple TV+ documentary series on mental health, The Me You Can’t See, which was released today.
